AustraliaTeachers.com. Some of the services are readily accessible, which require no registration or login process, while
others require job seekers to register via a quick and confidential process.
Readily Accessible Services:
The following services are easily accessible by job seekers simply visit AustraliaTeachers.com. There are not costs or registration requirements to access
the following.
- Browse Jobs
With a couple clicks of the mouse, browse job opportunities in different states and dependent territories. Simply click on a state or territory's link to view all the employers.
- Search Jobs
Via AustraliaTeachers's easy-to-use job search form users of the site can quickly find the job the best suits their experience, qualifications and interest.
- Apply to Jobs
Each job posting provide details on how to apply to jobs posted. Simply read and follow the instructionson each posting and submit your application for consideration.
- Research Employers
Every subscribing employers provides job seekers an information profile about their school(s). Users can then view the profiles and get valuable information about the employer. The profile also contains links back to the employer's own web page, so further research can be connected by the job seeker.
- Browse Career & Other Professional Resources
Via AustraliaTeachers.com's Resource Centre, users and find valuable resume and interview tips, salary information, teacher registration and other valuable resources.
- Network with Colleagues
Participate in a variety of online discussions where you can share your experience and teaching philosophy.
Registered Services:
The following services are accessible by job seekers upon registering with AT. There is no cost to register!
- Resume Upload
Job Seekers can upload their own resume documents or fill out AT's form resume. This resume will then be made available to subscribing employers to search and view.
- Educator E-Portfolio
In order to create a better picture of a job seeker's credentials, registered applicants are fill out a form that creates them an electronic portfolio. This portfolio will be searchable by employers as well will be attached to any jobs that candidates apply to online.
- Cover Letter Upload
To ensure registered job seekers can submit a complete application package to employers they can upload their own cover letter(s), which will be attached to any application along with other selected documents via AT's Apply Online function.
- Other Document Upload
Another tool to provide employers the information they need from job seekers, regsitered applicants can upload up to 10 other documents they may need to apply to available opportunities. These documents could include a scanned copy of a job seeker's registration documents, transcripts or university degree. Other documents that could be uploded includes reference letters, work study reports, criminal records checks, etc...
- JobBot Notification
By registering job seekers can create a "jobbot." A jobbot is an email notificaiton system that allows job seekers to select the type of job they are looking for. When new jobs are added to AT those job seekers will receive an email that lists the new jobs.
- Apply Online
Employers have the option to accept applications directly from AT's database. When you see an "Apply Online" button on a job opportunity, this is an indicator that job seekers can submit their cover letter, resume and other documents they have posted in AT's database.
- Bookmark Employers
Job seekers can save an employer's profile and job opportunities with a simple click. Once saved a job seeker has saved an employer they can the regularly monitor any new jobs posted by the school.
- E-Newsletters & Publications
Upon registering with AT, job seekers can sign-up for a couple of informative electronic newsletters. These publications
provide valuable information on AT's services, resources and employment opportunities found on the site. These are opt-in newsletters
